Dr. Nadia Dissak-Delon is a Public Health Physician working in the Supervision, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit, Littoral Regional Delegation of the Ministry of Public Health in Cameroon. Dr. Dissak-Delon received her MD from the University of Yaoundé I (Cameroon), as well as a Masters in Public Health from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), where she is currently a PhD candidate. Prior to working in public health, Dr. Dissak-Delon spent five years as Senior House Officer at the General Hospital of Douala. Her research interests include traditionally understudied areas in the developing world, namely Neglected Tropical Diseases and Injury Prevention and Care. Dr Dissak-Delon's projects with UCSF's Center for Global Surgical Studies include surgical care capacity evaluation and trauma registry development in Cameroon. She is currently the on-site study supervisor for a joint project between the Center for Global Surgical Studies and Cameroon's Ministry of Public Health, building the foundation for a National Trauma Registry in Cameroon.
