Pooja is a fourth year medical student planning to pursue a career in general surgery. During medical school, she spent a year living in Guatemala, during which time she conducted women's health services research and developed an interest in health systems financing and workforce development in resource-poor settings.

Pooja's research with the Center focuses on understanding how health insurance schemes and payment modalities influence outcomes for trauma patients in Cameroon, through analysis of the Cameroon National Trauma Registry.
